Pink and Grey Leopard French Manicure!

This one was fun and easy! What you'll need:

  • "Out the Door" Top coat.
  • "Sally Hansen Hard as Nails" brand in the color "Hard to Get"
  • "Sinful Colors" brand in the color "Cool Gray"
  • "Pure Ice" brand in the color "Love"
*Any pink, white and matte gray color will do*

I didn't apply base coat to this look because I have tips with gel. I usually do not apply a base coat to a french look, unless I am dealing with a color that typically stains (red, pink, orange, green or yellow)
First, apply your base coat.
Next, paint the free edge of the nails white (2 thin coats)
Then, after they dry, take the pink polish and make random dots on the tips of your nails, on top of the pink color.
After those dry, paint "C" shapes around the pink dots with a small nail art brush. Also, place random gray dots in between them as well. If it's shaky, don't worry! Leopard spots are ragged around the edges and aren't perfect.
After you do this step to all of the nails, wait until they dry, then apply the top coat! Done!

Nail Hygiene!

Just a little tip:
Whether you have long, natural nails or long, artificial nails, you need to make sure you keep them clean!
Long nails harbor bacteria a lot more easier than short nails do! You can purchase this little guy (to the right) at Walmart or any other convenience store for next to nothing in price. Or, you can go to the Dollar Store and buy toothbrushes and it'll do the same thing. I do believe the actual nail brushes are cheaper though.
Anytime you wash your hands or use any kind of harsh soap to cleanse, make sure you apply nail cuticle (or baby oil) to the cuticle to keep them from drying.
Washing alone isn't enough to keep the dirt and bacteria at bay that lies underneath the free edge of the nail.
I know this probably seems like a simple post but this just came to mind today and I thought I'd share it! XOXO

Classic White French Manicure with a Rhinestone Accent!

I love the classic look! You've got to add a little bling to it thought to give it some pizzazz! What you will need:

  • "Out The Door" Top Coat. I use this for a base as well.
  • Any white polish.
  • Rhinestones. (I got a small $5 kit from Walmart)
  • Nail Art Brushes.
  • A silver striper.
  • Nail Glue.
First I applied the base coat.
Then, I applied the white color to the free edge of the nail. (2 coats)
After those dried, I took the silver striper and and started at the top side corner of the white tip and drug it down towards the bottom to create a "V" (done on ring finger)
Next, after those dried, I took the nail art brush and dipped it into the white polish. Then, I re-created the look of the silver stripe but thicker and I did two lines (one on top of the other)
After that's dry, apply the glue where you want the rhinestone. Apply the stone and let it dry.
After all is dry, apply two coats of top coat and your done!

St. Patrick's Day French Manicure with Rhinestones!

This is a fun and easy way to get a cute look for St. Patrick's Day! Here is what you'll need:

  • "Out the Door" top coat (I use it for a base coat as well, because it's thick.)
  • "Rimmel London" brand in the color "Rags to Riches"
  • "Sinful Colors" brand in the color "Queen of Beauty"
  • "Heart to Art Embellish Me" gem kit (from Walmart)
  • A toothpick.
  • Nail glue.
First, apply a base coat to protect the nail.
Next, apply the green color to the free edge of every nail. (two thin coats)
After they dry, I grabbed some clear rhinestones as well as green ones and I alternated them in a straight line (white, green, white, green) on the ring finger.Use the nail glue to adhere the stones. I applied 5 stones to each finger. You can do as many as you want and however you want! Get creative!! This is where the toothpick came in handy. You can use wet q-tips to apply the stones or a pair of tweezers or the toothpick. Whatever you are most comfortable with.
Lastly, apply two coats of top coat.

*Make sure you really get around the gemstones with the topcoat, to firmly secure them*

After they dry, your finished! Enjoy!! XOXO

St. Patty's Day Nails!

This look was super easy to accomplish! Here is the supplies you will need for this look:

  • "Nail Magic" base coat.
  • "Rimmel London Lasting Finish Pro" in the color "Rags to Riches" #286
  • "Pure Ice" brand in the color "I'll Behave"
  • Make-Up wedge.
  • "Out the Door" top coat.
  • Loose Gold Glitter. I used "Super Nail' in the color "Shining Dawn" I believe I purchased it at Sally's Beauty Supply. You can also view this loose glitter on my "What Supplies I use" post from a month ago. In case you wanted to know what it looked like.
First, apply a thin coat of base coat to all the nails.
After those are dry, apply the green color and glitter polish in two separate puddles on a paper plate.
Take the solid green color first and apply it to the free edge of the nails. If you find that the color is too light/thin, paint on the green like normal with the nail polish brush to get the desired dark green color.
After all that is applied, take the make up wedge and dip it in the green polish that you just applied and put it on the free edge as well. Do this in a back and forth rocking motion. This will give the "ombre" or "faded look" to the nail.
After all of them are dry, repeat the same process with the glitter polish (I'll Behave)
After those are dry, apply the loose gold glitter with a new make up wedge. You can apply some clear polish to the paper plate to apply the loose glitter onto the nails in the same fashion.
Once all these are dry, apply the top coat and your done!

Black and Silver Studded Gel Nails!

This is one of my favorite looks!! I love the square studs, they add some flare! What I used to accomplish this look: (minus the gel procedure)

  • "Sinful Colors" brand in "Black on Black"
  • A silver striper. (available at Sally's)
  • "Out the Door" top coat. (also at Sally's)
  • Q-Tips.
  • Polish Remover.
  • Nail Glue.
How to get this look:

First, apply a base coat (or top coat) of your choice. I used a top coat for a base this time only because it's a thicker liquid. My nails tend to stain easily so..I need the thick stuff :-)
Next, after all is dry, apply the black color to the free edges of the nails except for the ring fingers. Paint those all black. Two thin coats on every nail.
Next, apply the silver stripes to the base of the black color.
Next, apply the squares. I wet the tip of a Q-tip to apply them. Dot on nail glue to the spots where you want them. (I did them straight down in a row) The studs stick to the wet q-tips and comes off onto the nail easily when the stud comes in contact with the nail glue.
After the glue dries, seal the deal with some thick top coat! "Out the Door" is by far my favorite!! AND it dries in 45 seconds tops!
Once you are dry, your done!

Wedding Nails!

This look is very elegant! Also, very easy to accomplish! What you will need to create this look (minus the gel equipment and procedure):

  • Base coat of your choice.
  • "Sinful Colors" brand in the color "Snow Me White"
  • Some pearl accents. You can get these from Sally's or even Walmart! I got the whole set from the Dollar Store!! (listed in the previous "supplies I use" post)
  • Nail Glue of your choice.
  • Loose white glitter (make sure you get white and not silver to accomplish this look)
  • Make-Up wedges.
  • Q-tips or tweezers.
  • Top Coat of your choice.
I use "Out The Door" brand from Sally's because it dries in less than 45 seconds or so! Great stuff!!

First, apply the base coat.
Next, take the white nail polish and dab it onto a plate. Then, use a make up wedge for application.
Dip the make up wedge into the white polish, making sure to get a nice even coat on the tip of the wedge. Then, in a rocking motion, apply the white polish onto the free edge of the nail. Do two coats and make sure that they are completely dry between each coat.
After all the white color is dry on all of the nails, you apply the loose glitter to the free edges. Use base coat and a make up wedge for this as well in the same fashion.
Next, take the nail glue and put three small dots of glue in a row under the white color as seen above. You can apply them with a wet Q-tip or tweezers (whatever is easier for you). Give the glue a chance to dry underneath the pearls, then, apply the top coat on top and around the pearls to give them staying power.
Apply top coat to the rest of your nails, then your done! Thanks for reading! XOXO
