Basic French Manicure with a Leopard Accent!

*You can use whatever brand you like. I am just listing what I used for all of these looks if you like specifics*
This look is easy, yet classy and matches everything! What I used:

  • The white was the "Sinful Colors" brand in "Snow Me White"
  • The black I used is the "Pure Ice" brand in "Black Rage"
  • The silver center of the leopard spots was "Stripe Rite" from Sally's Beauty Supply.
  • The black leopard spots were applied with "LA Colors" Art Deco" in black. They have different names for every one. This one was purchase at the Dollar Store.
  • Top Coat (THE BEST TOP COAT EVER)!! This top coat is called "Out The Door" it dries very, very fast and it dries as shiny as a gel top coat would!

How I accomplished this look:

*MAKE SURE EVERY STEP IS COMPLETELY DRY BEFORE CONTINUING*

First off, I applied "Nail Magic" nail hardener. Yes, it works!! I promise you! My nails have grown immensely since I've started using this product (from Sally's as well).

Then, after this dries, I just apply the white polish on the free edge of every nail. If you don't have much of a free edge, you can use reinforcement labels to get a smooth, polished look.
After the white color dried, I took the silver "striper" and put 4 dots on my ring finger nail from top to bottom (space them out and make them a little uneven).
After the silver dried, I then made small "C" shapes around the silver dots. If they are a little messy....PERFECT! Actual leopard spots are not perfect and are always a little jagged around the edges.
Lastly, after all was completely dry, I put on the amazing top coat! You can apply up to two coats.

Dark Blue Nails with Grey and Rhinestone Accent Nail!

Again, another Pinterest idea! This look turned out beautifully! What I used:

  • "Nail Magic" base coat and nail strengthener.
  •  "Rain Storm" in the "Sinful Colors" brand.
  • "Cool Gray" in the "Sinful Colors" brand.
  • "Queen of Beauty" in the "Sinful Colors" brand.
  • "Rhinestone(s) of your choice.
  • Make-Up wedges.
  •  Some nail glue.
  • Tweezers.

How I completed this look:

On all fingers except the ring finger, apply two THIN layers of the dark blue/gray color.
Then, on the ring finger apply two THIN coats of the light gray color. After all the polish dried, I took a piece of paper and dabbed the "Queen of Beauty" polish onto it. Then, with a make up wedge I dabbed it into the glitter polish then in a rocking motion, applied it to all the dark blue/gray nails on the free edge side.
For the rhinestone, I took some nail glue and dabbed a small amount onto the base of my nail (or where ever you want the stone). Then take a pair of tweezers to apply the rhinestone to the nail.
After all is dry, apply top coat and your finished!

"Reverse Manicure" Black & White!

I saw this look on Pinterest and thought: "Okay, these are awesome!" So..I recreated the look and here they are! What products I used:

  • "Nail Magic" base coat/nail strengthener
  • "Black Rage" in the "Pure Ice" brand.
  • "Snow Me White" in the "Sinful Colors" brand.
  • "Out The Door" fast drying Top Coat.

How I accomplished this look:

*As always, make sure the polish is dry before you apply anything different*

First, I applied the "Nail Magic" base coat and nail strengthener.

Then, paint all nails with the black polish. Now, the key to this is to apply two VERY THIN coats to your nails and make sure they are dry before you apply coat number two!
Then, I took the white polish and painted the free edge of my nails. Again, if you have little to no free edge,  you can eye it or apply (on DRY nails) the reinforcement labels to get it more even. Apply two (thin) coats of the white color.
Lastly, after all is dry, apply one to two coats of the "Out The Door" top coat and your done! This look requires A LOT of patience because of all the waiting around to make sure everything is dry as well as the multiple thin coats that this look requires to get it even.

Red and Silver French Manicure!

This was my nail look for this past Holiday Season! I get most of my ideas from Pinterest! Here is what you'll need:
  • "Nail Magic" base coat and nail hardener (as always).
  •  "Ruby Ruby" in the "Sinful Colors" brand.
  • "Celeb City" in the "Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear" nail number #220
  • The silver "Stripe Rite" polish from Sally's Beauty Supply.
  • "Out The Door" top coat.
How to apply:
First, apply the "Nail Magic" base coat.
Second, apply two THIN coats of the red polish. Making sure it is completely dry before applying the second coat.
Third, apply two THIN coats of the silver polish on the free edge of the nail.
Fourth, take the striper and apply three small lines on the ring finger for the accent nail. (you may add glitter if you like, don't be afraid to get creative!!)
Lastly, apply two coats of the top coat and your done!

Black Tipped French Manicure with Polka Dot Accent!

This is such a CUTE look! Also, this look will match anything that you wear. What you will need:

  • "Nail Magic" base coat and nail strengthener.
  • "Black Rage" in the "Pure Ice" brand.
  • "Snow Me White" in the "Sinful Colors" brand.
  • "Out The Door" top coat.
  • Bobby Pin.

How this look is done:

First, apply the base coat.
Second, paint the free edge of every nail (other than the ring finger) black.
Third, paint the ring finger black.
Again, you want to always do two THIN coats with every look if possible.
Next, I took a simple bobby pin..that's right, BOBBY PIN! I used it to apply the dots. You can make the dots as big or as small as you like. It all depends on how much polish you use on the tip of the bobby pin. I find it easier to put the white polish onto a paper plate, then dip the bobby pin in it.
Lastly, once all is of course..DRY! You apply the top coat and then your done!

*If you find that the polish is taking too long to dry, dip your fingers in a bowl of cold water. It sets the polish and dries it quickly*

Black, Leopard and Mint Nail Look!

This is a little out of the box for me but once I put it on, I loved it!

  • "Nail Magic" base coat and nail strengthener.
  • "Black Rage" in the "Pure Ice" brand.
  • A black "striper" or just a plain black polish with a skinny nail art brush.
  • "Flip Flop Fantasy" in the "China Glaze" brand.
  • "Jade" in the "Avon Nailwear Pro" brand. (I used to sell. Any Jade or mint color will do).
  • "Out The Door" top coat.

How to get this look:

As always, start off with the "Nail Magic" base coat.
Next, paint the index, pinki and thumb nail with two THIN coats of black.
Then, the middle and ring finger is painted with two THIN layers of the mint color.
After they dry, apply the "Flip Flop Fantasy" color with a toothpick or bobby pin (whatever you prefer) *as shown above*
Next, take the black striper and make small "C's" around each dot as shown. If you want, to make it look more "leopard like" you can add random, small dots on the side away from the other print.
Wait until the look dries, then apply top coat. Done!

*It is very important to make sure the nails with the design on them are completely dry before applying top coat*

Reasoning? Because the design will smear and cause streaking and the whole look will be ruined. All of these designs take patience but are worth it.

Just a little tip: If your nail polish is getting "gummy" DO NOT put nail polish remover in it to "loosen it up". This will destroy the pigmentation of the color. Instead, place the "gummy" polishes into the refrigerator 10-15 minutes prior to use. This will make it apply smoothly.

French Manicure with a Music Staff and Note Accent!

I really love this one!
What you'll need to accomplish this look:

  • "Nail Magic" base coat.
  • "Snow me White" in the "Sinful Colors" brand.
  • "Silver Striper" from Sally's Beauty (or any other store that sells them).
  • "Art Deco" in the color black from "LA Colors" brand. (you can get this at the Dollar Store).
  • "Sally Girl Minis" in the color black. You can get these mini nail polishes from Sally's Beauty for .99 cents!
  • A bobby pin.
  • Nail Polish Remover. (always keep handy)
  • Q Tips. (always keep handy)
  • "Out The Door" Top Coat (my favorite!) Dries in 15 seconds!

How to achieve this look:

First, I gave my nails one thin coat of the "Nail Magic" as a base coat.
Then, I took the white color and painted the free edge of my nails.
After that, I took the black striper and created the three lines on the ring fingers to represent the music staff. (make them as thin as possible..blot the striper brush a few times to make sure the polish isn't gobbed on).
Let dry.
Next, I took the black color from the Sally Girl mini and I put some on a piece of paper. Then, I took the bobby pin and dipped it in the color to create the round part or "base" of the notes.
Then, I used the actual striper brush to create the rest of the notes.
Let dry.
Then, I took the silver striper and created a silver line underneath the white tips. With the same striper, I filled in between the music staff lines to add a highlighting affect to the design.
After all this is dry (make SURE it's totally dry), apply the top coat then your finished!
