Classy Nude and Gold Manicure!

Things needed to accomplish this look will be listed below as well and pictured on the right:

  • L.A. Colors Nail Lacquer in the color "French Nail Pink"
  • Sinful Colors brand in the color "Gold Medal"
  • "Out The Door" Topcoat.
First, apply 3-4 even coats of the nude color to all nails (let dry thoroughly in between each coat).
Next, carefully paint the free edge of the nail with the gold color. 1 thin coat should do the trick! (if you don't have a free edge, or long nail, create your own)
Lastly, apply the top coat and you're done! You have just created a simple, beautiful manicure that would be perfect for date night or a wedding! XO

More Eyelashes!

Forget buying those expensive 3D Lash Mascara that you get from Representatives. I found some at Walmart for $6!!!! You will spend at least $30 for the 3D Lash Mascara. This stuff works wonderfully!! There is a perfect fiber lash to mascara ratio and there will be no "lashes" that fall into your eye upon application or throughout the day. Just in case you can't see the name of the mascara, it is: Maybelline, Illegal Length Fiber Extension Mascara. Great product for a great price!

Next, I have a little tip to help nourish AND grow your lashes naturally! No fake, chemically processed "Latisse" needed! All you need to do is add 1-2 drops of Lavender Essential Oil to your mascara. Not only will it increase the life of your mascara and make sure that you use every last drop, but it also aids in the growth of your natural lashes! When I started using this oil in my mascara, I noticed a difference in the length in 1 week! And to top it off..it smells SO good! You'll be able to catch an occasional whiff of it throughout the day, which makes it nice.
Hope you find this tip helpful!

*Make sure you buy 100% PURE essential oil! If you buy anything that's altered, it may harm your eyes*

Here are some great, reliable sources to purchase your oils:

Young Living Oils are also good!

Enjoy! XO

Blue Feather Studded Nails!

Things you will need:

  • Top Coat
  • Any kind of small, multicolored craft feathers (you can get these at Walmart)
  • Gold Studs (I got these off of Amazon, just type "nail studs" in the search bar and pick ones you like)
  • Sinful Colors brand in "Black on Black"
  • Sinful Colors brand in "All About You"
  • Sinful Colors brand in "Gold Medal"
  • Salon Perfect brand in "Bermuda Baby"
  • Toe Nail Clippers or a sharp pair of fabric scissors.
  • Dotting Tool
  • Toothpick
Index and ring finger are painted blue (Bermuda Baby) and the Pinky, middle and thumb were painted black (Black on Black). Two thin coats of the blue and two for the black. I didn't have to do two coats with the black because it was very dark so one coat was perfect! Depends on what brand you have :-)
Once the blue dries, you want to paint it with top coat and quickly lay a feather onto the nail while it's tacky.
*If you have a top coat that takes a while to dry, give it a minute or two before you apply the feather to the nail. That way it doesn't smear the polish*

Once you get the feather adhered, take some small scissors or a pair of sharp toenail clippers to trim off the excess feather that's hanging off the free edge of the nail. (You can also use a pair of sharp fabric scissors as well, whatever works best for you). Once that is done, apply a top coat to keep the feather in place.
Next, take the gold glitter and simply apply it to the pinky nail, over the black color.
Now you can move on to the middle finger. Dab some of the metalic brown/gold color (Gold Medal) onto a paper plate and take your dotting tool and get a generous amount onto the tool. Next, make a diagonal dotted line from top corner to bottom corner of the nail. Then, fill the one half of the nail with dots. Once it's dry, take the gold glitter and apply it to every other dot on the middle fingernail.
Next, the thumb! All you have to do is place top coat on the thumb nail first, then apply the studs. You can either wet the dotting tool to get the stud to stick or you can use a toothpick. I prefer a toothpick. Once you get those on, apply top coat and you're done!!

Eyelashes!!!

Want longer, more voluminous eyelashes?! Who doesn't?? Here is my trick to make those stubborn lashes give you the appearance of falsies! Here is a list of the products I used (also pictured on the right):

  • Any eyelash curler. (if you really want these guys to do the trick, heat up the curler slightly with your blow dryer)..but be careful because it can get hot rather quickly! Don't burn yourself!
  • Any small, fluffy brush
  • Baby Powder
  • Mega Length mascara from "Wet n' Wild" (this one specifically)

Two reasons why I recommend this mascara in particular: 1- The wand is plastic. So it makes very easy, perfect application and it is guaranteed to separate EVERY lash. And 2- It comes off easily without creating any damage to the lashes! A bonus? It'll only cost you $2.98 at Wal-Mart! Win-win!

The steps on how to achieve this look:

  1. Grab that eyelash curler. You can heat it up if you like but it's really not needed because the mascara IS that good! Curl your lashes. You want to be sure not to squeeze too tight because this will damage your lashes! They are very delicate. Do a light "pulsing" movement with your fingers. Here are the 3 angles to do your lashes (listed on the right)
  2. Apply first coat of mascara.
  3. After the first coat of mascara dries, apply Baby Powder onto the lashes with the make-up brush. This will give the second coat of mascara a good, solid base.
  4. Apply second coat of mascara. Here is when you will notice a HUGE difference in your lashes! Let dry and your done! You can apply as many coats as you want! Two was good enough for me. Hope you enjoy! XOXO

Rockabilly Girl!

Found my costume for this year!!!! Very easy make up that I won't have to scrub off at the end of the day! Very classy and cute! :-)

Scarecrow Look!

This look was SUPER fun! Not to mention, it's going to be SUPER hard to get off of my face! My kids really liked this one! :-)
Again, I can't give written instructions on these. They are too complex. From primer to foundation to what to use as far as colors go..it would be pages long!
If you are interested on how I got this look, I can attempt to make a video on it..notice I said (attempt) ;-)
Thanks for viewing and I hope you have a fun, safe Halloween! XO

Spiderman Eye-shadow Look!

I can in no way write down a written "how to" on any of my Halloween looks (other than my nails). I Just look at the picture and copy it to the best of my ability. This one is fun! I'm not exactly sure what I'm going to go for for this year yet. We shall see!
To those of you who read my blog, thank you! It means a lot to me knowing that you show just a small interest in my little hobbies :-) I have one more look for the day coming up! XO

New Experiments Coming!

I am going to start doing make up posts!! This month's special is Halloween inspired make-up! I'm very excited for this! I'll do more nail tutorials next week but for the next few days or so, I'm going to venture into the world of make-up art!! Can't wait to post!
Hmm...so what's it going to be? :-D

Black & White Glitter Spiderweb!

There is a video up for this tutorial but I'd like to keep doing the written instructions as well. I may only do videos when requested since they are so much work! Here is what I used:

  • "Sinful Color" brand in "Black on Black" any black polish will do.
  • "Sally Hansen" brand in "Hard to Get" I believe the number is 110.
  • "Pure Ice" brand in "Dazzle Me"
  • "Out the Door" top coat (purchased at Sally's Beauty)
Paint thumb, index, middle and pinky black. Apply two thin coats.
Paint the ring finger white, two thin coats as well.
Once these are dry, you want to start on the web. The best way to describe how to do the web is to just slice it like a pizza :-)
Feel free to add some glitter to the web or even a little spider! Make it your own and get creative!
Once all is dry, apply top coat and your done!

If you're wondering why I never apply base coat, I never do unless the polish has been known to stain the nail (such as neon colors), then I'll apply a couple of thin coats before doing the design. Enjoy! XOXO

Black Glitter Spider Web!

The how to video is up on my Facebook page!!!!

This is my very first time making a nail tutorial video so, I apologize if I stumble over my words a bit. Hopefully, I'll get better with practice! Head on over to my Facebook to watch!

Just type Krystle Coe in the search engine and you should be able to view it. If not, it'll also be on my YouTube channel! Thanks!
