Reference Points!

 Hello all!
Today, I'm going to post a reference point chart so you know what I'm talking about when posting eye-shadow make-up tutorials! Hopefully this chart will make application easier to accomplish. Instead of playing a guessing game as to where it all goes :-)

So let's get started!

  • A- The Highlight/Brow Bone color.
  • B- Above Crease or Transition Shade/color (I use different terms at different times)
  • C- Outer Crease or "V"
  • D- Inner Lid
  • E- Mid Lid
  • F- Outer Lid
  • G- Lower Water Line (I rarely put product there because my eyes are sensitive to most eye-shadows and it makes them water) the black line represents where the liner/eye-shadow goes.
  • H- Inner Lower Lash Line
  • I- Outer Lower Lash Line (the other black line is to show separation between the inner and outer lash line) if your looking straight into the mirror, just put that imaginary line in line with your pupil.

To the right is another chart that will help you out. When you are working with your look, no matter what the colors are, you want to go from light to dark (from top to bottom) and light to dark (from outer to inner). This helps to elongate the eye and give it dimension and depth!

Hope these charts help out your application process!
XOXO,
Krys.
